Today's feature is none other than Sona Gasparian, a Professional Makeup Artist, Beauty and Lifestyle Blogger and Creator of the amazing Beauty Line PERSONA COSMETICS!

1. When did you start your business / brand / career and tell us the story behind it?
My love for makeup all started when I was struggling with acne as a teenager. Experimenting with makeup helped me discover my passion for beauty, which led me to take things to the next level at the Make-up Designory (MUD) in LA. From there I went on to work at MAC Cosmetics and was also doing freelance makeup and teaching seminars on the side. Then, I discovered YouTube and quickly realized I could bring my knowledge of the makeup world to a much larger audience. Fast forward 10 years-- I’m still doing what I love everyday from my YouTube channel, to the blog, to my makeup line, Pérsona Cosmetics, all with the help of my amazing team!
2. Who or what inspires you to chase your dreams?
My family, my husband, my friends, my audience and of course, myself. I know once I started after my dream, there’s no going back now!

3. What is your dream-level goal for your business?
My goal is simple. I want to continue to grow Pérsona Cosmetics and create amazing products that change the makeup game!
4. Talk us through what your typical day looks like.
People are always super curious about my typical day-to-day routine and are usually surprised to see that I have a pretty normal work day! I spend a lot of the day in the office responding to emails, creating content and strategizing with my team. In addition to running my blog simplysona.com and my Instagram, a lot of my focus is on growing my makeup line, Pérsona Cosmetics!
5. What advice would you give to someone who is just starting out?
Definitely be patient. It’s easy to get caught up in the numbers game, how many followers or likes you have, but it's important to remember they don’t mean everything in this industry. Put your focus and your heart in creating quality content and developing a genuine fan base above everything else. Never give up on your dream!
6. What’s next for your business?
We are working on some really exciting new products and for now I have to keep them a secret, but you can keep up to date on @personacosmetics on Instagram! We will be giving clues about our next product very soon!
